Hillary Clinton dragging on her loosing campaign is like General Custer not wanting to retreat from The Little Big Horn. Does she really think she can still win? Since last Tuesday’s primaries in Indiana and North Carolina Obama has picked up 21 Super Delegates to Hillary Clinton’s 2. Obama’s latest endorsement came from Dolly Strazar a member of the Democratic Committee, from Hawaii his home state. Obama is now effectively ahead by 1/2 Super Delegate.
Super Delegates were the last primary metric that Hillary Clinton had a lead in. Mathematically speaking, it is nearly impossible for her to catch Obama and capture the Democratic Party’s nomination for the presidency. So, if there is no real way for her to win then why hasn’t she left the race?
Not only is Hillary Clinton loosing the primary but she’s shelling out millions of dollars to do it. She’s loaned her own campaign nearly 12 million dollars to down a loosing path. Does she really think that if she had the support she claims she has that she would have to loan her own campaign money.
So, Is Hillary Clinton A Party Pooper?
Do you think that Hillary Clinton is throwing a fit because she can’t win. Sure looks like it to me. The derisive comments coming from her campaign sure make it sound like they / she would rather destroy Barack Obama, and the Democratic Party’s chances of winning the presidency, than loose the primary. Maybe she’s just not that smart and can’t read the writing on the wall. Or, is it that she can’t think for herself and is relying too heavily on her advisers to tell her when to get out. I know if I was senior Clinton advisor Mark Penn, who has made at least $5 million dollars off the campaign, I would advise her to stay in the race. Who would wan’t to give up the cash cow? Maybe, it’s something else. Her campaign does owe Clinton nearly 12 million dollars. Maybe she’s holding out hoping to be able to recoup her losses.
If she’s dawdling about getting out of the race then is she really smart enough to be President? If she is over dependent on her advisors for an exit time and strategy then is she independent enough to be President? If she’s simply holding out for the cash…I would…then does she have the ethical fortitude expected of a President? What ever the case may be continuing her campaign is dong nothing to help the democrats win an election that all they had to do was show up to win.
Maybe Hillary Clinton Isn’t A Party Pooper but Simply A Pampas Ass
Since Super Tuesday Hillary Clinton’s only real arguments for staying in the race were super delegates and seating the Florida and Michigan delegations. Now, the reality is that both Clinton and Obama were told in no uncertain terms, by the Democratic National Committee, not to campaign in either Florida or Michigan. I am from Florida, it was all over the nightly news how the primary votes wouldn’t count. Relatively speaking, here was a very low turn out in Florida this primary season.
As a matter of fact Obama was not even on the ticket in Michigan. He was told not to campaign there and that the delegations would not be set at the Democratic Party convention. but, Hillary went ahaid and put herself on the ballot in both states. Now, although the National Committee repeatedly said the delegates would not count she wants to take the votes as they stand. Clinton knows that she didn’t win those states in a true contest. She carefully crafts her argument to make it sound as if she is looking out for the Florida and Michigan voters. That’s a bunch of BS. She knows she got the votes she got in those states by default and no other reason.
So maybe she isn’t a party pooper but simply a pampas ass who thinks voters in general are idiots and can’t see through her weak facile arguments. After the hole gas tax holiday flap how could you not think she is a pampas ass just pandering to you the voter. So, basically she’s just telling you what you want to hear to win your vote. To me that makes her a pampass ass and less likely to be a President for the people. But, more likely a President for herself and her own interests. Do we really need that? We already had two terms, of that, with Bush.
On a side note, do we really need an unleashed Bill Clinton in the White House? i’ll let your imagination run with that one.
