John McCain’s candidacy to be President of the United States is affable enough already. But, lately it has taken on a rather macab turn. If you haven’t noticed John McCain the presumptive republican presidential candidate and Joseph Lieberman seantor from Conneticut, formarlyof the democratic party and now an Indenpendent, have been thick as theives recently. It seems like the Senator from conneticut has been with McCain more often than McCain’s own wife. These two have spent so much time with each other recently one begins to wonder how deep the rabbit hole really goes.

Liebernman has been there to correct McCain on several occassions when mcCain “misspoke.” The most notable of these occassion during McCain’s recent tour of the middle east. While there he incorrectly claimed that Iran was training Al Qaeda. There have been enough occassions where Lieberman has corrected mcCain you start to wonder if Lieberman has been assigned as McCain’s keeper. Its interesting to see the two senators so close together. Maybe the Democratic party was correct in trying to push Lieberman out during the 2006 elections. I wonder what the connecticut voters think about their Senators chummy relationship with the republican presidential nominee.

I realize that lieberman is officially designated an independent and lend a helping hand to whomever he wants. But, proping mcCain up is going a bit too far. Its like lieberman has gone to the lions den and just let himself in. Is Lieberman vying for a VP spot on the ticket. Can you imagine that. Two guys two generations removed from most of the country. Let’s face it these two have been around so long that neither can really think for themselves. They let the lobbyists do it. Hmmmm, I wonder what kind of fresh new ideas they’ll be able to come up with. Can you say “old boys network.”

These two are completely hitched to the ways of the Washington Belt Way. They couldn’t change a light bulb without nine holes of golf, lunch, and a negotiated agreement putting billions of dollars worth of earmarks on the bill for their state in the bill.

Lieberman and Mccain are attached at the hip. I think there’s something hokey going on there between those two. It just kind of makes you wonder. Maybe they’re just poker buddies.
